During my recent stay at Shieldaig Lodge, I was struck by both the quality of service and the inherent value this hotel offers. From the moment I arrived, the attentive staff, led by Victor, created an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a relaxing experience. Our spacious room featured a comfortable bed with high-quality linens, an excellent newly installed bathroom with underfloor heating, and came equipped with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV—key amenities for today’s traveler. Dining at the hotel showcased a well-considered menu, particularly for breakfast. While the tasting menu was ample, I did wonder if smaller portions might enhance the overall experience. the bar area proved a highlight, with expertly crafted cocktails served by Alasdair. The expansive communal rooms, alongside a snooker table and beautifully maintained lounges, provided ample opportunity to unwind. The falconry experience was a unique touch and a highlight of our stay, offering fantastic value for those seeking hospitality enriched with local charm. Shieldaig Lodge successfully balances luxury with thoughtful pricing, making it a worthy destination on your travel itinerary.
